beside all the small paint projects i have been working on, i still want to create some prints and have been trying to figure out what to do. thanks to the help of griffin for introducing me to salasquatch, i realize i could inform others about salasquatch and many other spectacular creatures in the form of prints. ladies and gentlemen we are floating in space.
a new way to read
the first image is from the book, the art of looking sideways by . different formats of text are used to express am idea. it's a collage of images. in this example the use of in its definition is capitalized, and red. it also rotates the letter to further explain the history. the page also includes a photograph with a caption sill related to the paragraph above.
the second image is from the book, house of leaves by . paragraphs are rotated, a square is introduced, color, correction, footnotes, it looks like a mess, but at the same time meat and organized.
the last image is the beginning if my thoughts for a project, combined with a pattern drawing that still in a way relates to some of the ideas. it's ideas from these images that i am using as inspiration to create my brainstorming prints. combining different ways to read even with just a simple thing as rotating text, but also have images integrated into the text.

create a simple design or pick a shape, set up rules for the repetition(can only touch one other piece, has to increase in size, limited time or quantity, anything works)

this has led to final products that i had not even imagined at the beginning, and ideas for future pieces
